Parsons Course Catalog

Parsons School of Design, 2005

Parsons asked me to submit a proposal for their undergraduate course catalog for the 2005–2006 school year. For this catalog, they wanted to highlight the resources that Manhattan offers to students of design. One of these resources—the Parsons student body itself—also required special emphasis. My proposal used grid-breaking line elements and maps to physically connect places in the city relevant to each major with their geographic location. These same lines were also used to connect students and their work with the specific class within the curriculum in which the work was produced. Prospective students could see exactly what they had to look forward to. It must have struck a chord—my design was chosen over the work of some humblingly talented individuals.
