Gale Nurseries Book

Gale Nurseries is a revered landscape design company on the east coast. They commissioned this book as a celebration of four generations spent creating some of the most beautiful gardens in the country. The design of the book, inspired by the portfolio of Gale Nurseries, is a mixture of mid-century layout and classical French typography. I took a cue from the formality of the gardens and created a strict grid in which elements of the book fall. Decorative patterns of stonework, ironwork, and hedgerows were recreated as hairline drawings and used as decorative elements throughout the book.
